What is BCRG Kids Clinic ?

BCRG Kids Clinic is an additional intervention service provided by Bankstown Community Resource Group Inc (BCRG).  BCRG is a community based not-for-profit service based in Bankstown.  BCRG Kids Clinic can provide private Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services for children 0-12 years who have communication, fine and gross motor or behavioural needs. The Clinic is based in Bankstown.

What services does Kids Clinic provide?

BCRG Kids Clinic has fully qualified therapists who can provide the following services:

  • Comprehensive Assessments
  • One to one therapy sessions on BCRG premises
  • One to one therapy sessions in a child care centre or school located in the Bankstown Local Government Area

What does therapy at BCRG Kids Clinic cost ?

BCRG does not receive any Government funding for services offered through our Kids Clinic.  There is a cost to families for access to these services.  Please contact us on Ph: 9796 7315 regarding our current charges.  Our charges are very competitive.

Can I get a Medicare Subsidy ?

Some children may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for services provided through Kids Clinic. These children include:

  • Patients who have a chronic medical condition and complex care needs and are referred by a GP under an EPC Plan
  • Patients of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander origin who have had a health assessment and are referred by a GP.
  • Patients with Autism or any other pervasive developmental disorder referred by a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician.
  • Patients with a clinically diagnosed mental disorder which significantly interferes with cognitive, emotional or social abilities referred by a GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan or referred by a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist.

Can I claim through my Private Health Insurance ?

If you have private health insurance that covers Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy you may be eligible to make a claim through your health fund.  As all health funds have different rules, we are unable to advise you about your specific circumstances.  Please call your health fund for more information.
